Sony HX200
Superzoom Camera
vs Canon SX50 HS
Superzoom Camera

The Guys say...

The Canon SX50 has a much longer 50x zoom lens versus the HX200V's 30x zoom -- it really puts the "zoom" in "superzoom." The SX50 HS also shoots 240fps slow-motion, while the HX200V cannot shoot slow-motion video at all. A stronger battery, GPS support, in-camera panorama, and much higher resolution LCD screen put a few points in the HX200V's column, while RAW capability and better low-light performance round out the SX50 HS's advantages. The HX200V's higher megapixel count unfortunately does not translate into a picture quality advantage, as the small sensor size of each camera limits the usefulness of high resolution.
